Update about ALLERJECT® from Valeo Pharma Inc.

Valeo Pharma Inc., a Canadian pharmaceutical company, now has the Canadian rights to the ALLERJECT® epinephrine auto-injector. See the press release for more information.

Valeo has provided the statement below as an update to the community on the availability of ALLERJECT in Canada. If you have any questions, please contact Valeo at 1-855-694-0151, or medinfo@valeopharma.com.

In Canada, there are three epinephrine auto-injector suppliers: ALLERJECT, Emerade™, and EpiPen®. Learn more about epinephrine and these devices.

Valeo Pharma Inc., a Canadian specialty pharmaceutical company, is pleased to announce the addition of ALLERJECT® to its commercial portfolio.

The product remains unchanged, and is available in English and French with step by step voice assistance.  Join us on Allerject.ca for more info!

Product Availability:

ALLERJECT® continues to be available in many pharmacies across the country. However, some locations may not have access to the product at this time. We anticipate full availability of ALLERJECT® in pharmacies by mid-October.

Ask your pharmacist if ALLERJECT® is available in their store. If it isn’t available, provide them with the product identification number (DIN NUMBER) so the product can be ordered for you.

Epinephrine Injection, USP via Voice-assisted Auto-Injector
0.15 mg / 0.15 mL epinephrine:  DIN 02382059
0.3 mg / 0.3 mL epinephrine:  DIN 02382067  

If your pharmacist cannot order ALLERJECT® for you at this time, please check with other local pharmacies for availability. You can also re-check with your pharmacy in mid-October. If you need to replace an expired device now and are unable to order ALLERJECT®, please speak to your doctor regarding an alternative epinephrine auto-injector in the interim.

Due to continued limited supply, hypoallergenic infant formulas may need to be ordered at the pharmacy counter at this time. To address the shortage, many new products have been imported into Canada. If you are having difficulty finding a suitable formula, ask your pharmacist about these brands of extensively hydrolyzed and amino acid-based formulas that may be available:
