Recently, there have been reports that peanut butter has been smeared on playground equipment in multiple Toronto playgrounds. As parents ourselves, we know how upsetting it is to hear about things like this happening. In our community, many are feeling angry, frustrated and a range of other emotions.
We have been speaking with the media about it and recently, we issued a statement addressing the reports.
The City of Toronto is committed to keeping its parks safe for everyone. If you see something, say something. If you witness vandalism occurring, please report it through 911. If you see it after the fact, call the Toronto Police non-emergency line 416-808-2222, or call 311 to have your call directed.
We will keep you posted of any new developments.
From all of us at Food Allergy Canada, we wish you and your family a happy and safe summer.
