What the session is about: Tune in for our FB Live session on treating anaphylaxis with epinephrine auto-injectors. You’ll hear about the different device options in Canada and get a demo on how to use each of them, helping you learn which ones might be best for you. You’ll also gain a better understanding of the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, and what common mistakes to avoid when giving epinephrine and managing anaphylaxis. This will be followed by Q&A, where you can ask questions live. You can also submit your questions in advance.
Who is speaking: Dr. Julia Upton, who is on staff at The Hospital for Sick Children in the Immunology and Allergy department; and an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. She is on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and is a member of our Healthcare Advisory Board.
This session is a part of our Know it. Treat it. initiative to empower Canadians and take the fear out of anaphylaxis.
When is the session: Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 12pm to 1pm EDT.
How to attend the session: Visit our Facebook page @FoodAllergyCanada on May 16 at 12 pm EDT where you will find the livestream. RSVP on our Facebook event page to get a notification when the livestream begins!
