The allergy-friendly food drive challenge: raise awareness and support your local community
Teachers and students: Help raise awareness about food allergies in your school, help families in your community, and get a chance to win prizes for your school at the same time! Host or participate in an allergy-friendly food drive at your school during a 10-day challenge running anytime between November 14-December 9, 2016 and your school could win 15 Apple iPad tablets and a meet-and-greet with racecar driver Alex Tagliani!
This joint initiative, undertaken by Alex and Food Allergy Canada, with the support of Pfizer Canada (Canadian distributor of EpiPen®), reaches out to Canadians from coast to coast and helps local food banks while educating about food allergies. The deadline for entering the challenge is November 13th.

Find support when you need it
Did you know there are allergy support group meet ups across Canada, listed on our website? Through these groups, people get to share experiences and talk about managing food allergies. Some groups have guest speakers on allergy-related topics; others are more informal and take place in cafes or pubs or meet online.
“Finding an allergy support group was such a blessing to me,” says Pauline Gauvin, a mom of three. “I was finally able to talk to people about my experiences without feeling like an educator, or like I was being judged or pitied.”
